Text description provided by the architects. The design developed itself surround three basic problems of this project.

这座大楼的规模很大。如何在幼稚园功能所需的灵活性与受场地条件限制的高密度之间取得平衡？

       The scale of this building is huge. How to make a balance between the flexibility required by the function of a kindergarten and the high density limited by the site condition?

我们在大楼里加了一个“活力环”。这个圆环的内部是一个多功能的大厅，它本身就是教室。27个活动单位、行政办公室和后勤办公室与该环相连。

We insert a ‘Vigor Ring’ into the building. The inner part of this ring is a multifunctional hall, and the ring itself serves as classrooms. 27 activity units, administrative offices and logistics offices are connected to the ring.

这种“自由圈”的概念在分布式建筑群体之间造成了张力，活跃了高密度建筑内部的空间，符合儿童活动的特点。

This concept of “liberal ring” creates tension between the distributed building masses, invigorates the space inside the high-density building, and matches the character of kid’s activities.

这个网站很小，而且缺乏户外空间。如何创造空间兴趣？

       The site is small and it’s lack of outdoor space. How to create spatial interest?

我们利用建筑形式在建筑上创造了大量的楼梯和群众之间的隔阂。同时，中央环的屋顶充分利用了创造活动空间的优势。此外，分隔的室外空间和标准建筑单元通过视线重新连接。这样，这个建筑的室外空间被组织成一个复杂的系统，

We make use of architectural forms to create a lot of stairs on the building and gaps between the masses. Meanwhile, the roof of the central ring is taken full advantage of creating activity space. Moreover, the separated outdoor spaces and the standard building units are reconnected by sightlines. In this way, the outdoor spaces of this building are organized into a complex system,

       The interior.

室内设计也遵循建筑的角度。根据儿童的空间认知，精心选择色彩，提高儿童的记忆力、逻辑性和创造性。墙壁上的洞是为了激发孩子们以不同的方式探索空间而设计的。弯曲的道路是随和的，而曲面是可碰撞的。

The interior design also follows the architectural perspective. Based on the kid’s spatial cognition, the colors are meticulously selected so as to improve kids’ memory, logic and creativity. Holes on walls are designed to inspire kids to explore the space in different way. Curved paths are amiable while curved surfaces are crashworthy.
