50 years ago, Lord Glenconner created a private island sanctuary for those who were tired of the usual holday destinations. The island of Mustique is located in the Grenadines, West Indies and now has 9 pristine beaches and 74 villas including Taliesin.

Designed by Diamond Schmitt architects, the Taliesin residence is situated on a steep slope. The 20,000 square foot residence includes a gym, pool, spa, and activity rooms. The residence takes full advantage of its beautiful site allowing for an open-air lifestyle while providing luxurious seclusion and privacy. As a result, the main living space is organized to maximize the view of the ocean, and the living room, dining room, and kitchen all look out over the sea.

住宅的屋檐很宽，不受阳光和雨水的影响。由于穆斯廷没有地下水，所以所有的水都是从屋顶收集的。因此，防护屋顶具有很大的象征价值和实用价值。

Wide eaves for the residence give protection from the sun and rain. As there is no ground water on Mustique, all water is collected from the roofs. Consequently, the protective roof is of great symbolic value and of practical importance.
