Amsterdam Villa Located in the vicinity of the city of Amsterdam, lies this villa amidst the beautiful surroundings of nature reserve ‘t Twiske. Tasked with the total concept design of this family home and given carte blanche in 2000, we set out to create the ultimate Studio Piet Boon design experience. Though situated on a sizable plot of 1.100ft² the home is modest in size. The interior design of the house had to meet several requirements: a big kitchen, a wine cellar, a not too large a living room, a spacious bedroom with a dressing room ,a very attractive bathroom and a lot of storage space. Bearing these requirements and local surroundings in mind we designed the home in the shape of a farmstead that surrounds an inner courtyard.
