Surface is the second collaboration with B-B Italia after the VVD collection back in 2002. The initial concept, inspired by the paintings of Piet Mondrian and the sculptures of Donald Judd, skilfully combines different materials (wood and metal) and satin and glossy colours. The collection consists of different low table elements as well as drawers and sideboards in a variety of heights and finishes. Surface expresses a poetic design that moves between the reduction of forms, use of essential materials and natural colour choices. These sober features never derive from simplification, but rather from a subtle quest for balance.
