Nouvelles Vagues Pompidou - Toulon 2019 COLLECTIONS DESIGN DU XXe SIÈCLE DU CENTRE POMPIDOU The Pompidou Centre presents an exhibition around its 20th century design collection, curated by Marie-Ange Brayer, in a scenography conceived by India Mahdavi. In a tribute to designers’ propensity to soften the strict figure of a piece of furniture, the stripe, eternal symbol of the beach, is subject to India Mahdavi’s distortions. Le Centre Pompidou expose hors les murs des pièces emblématiques de ses collections design du XXème siècle, sous la curation de Marie-Ange Brayer. Comme un hommage à la logique de designers venus arrondir la ligne d’un mobilier jadis voulu trop stricte, c’est la rayure, symbole éternel de la plage, qui vient subir les distorsions d’India Mahdavi.
