The main design challenge we encountered when creating the open-space living zone was in laying out the kitchen. Our aim was to combine the lounge with the kitchen in such a way that the room didnt feel crammed with pieces of furniture. This meant designing the kitchen with a very neutral approach: a simple white range without handles and the working area hidden within the kitchen island.

The interior style is a fusion of elegant features and items. Against a monochrome substrate background we combined different shades of purple and blue, from calm through to strong tones, and utilised fabrics with differing shine and depth (alcantara, velour, velvet, and so on). Refined plaster moldings partner harmoniously with nineteenth-century paintings in rich gold frames.
