位于澳大利亚拜伦湾的 Byron Bay Residence，是设计团队 Hecker Guthrie 与业主密切合作多年后所打造的度假住宅，旨在回应沿海环境的独特气候与生活节奏。这座住宅在空间组织、材质应用及细部处理上摒弃了传统海滨住宅的刻板印象，以耐久、温暖、易维护的设计策略构建出一种松弛却精致的生活方式。

Byron Bay Residence, located in Byron Bay, Australia, is a vacation residence created by the design team Hecker Guthrie after years of close collaboration with the owner, aiming to respond to the unique climate and pace of life of the coastal environment. This residence abandons the stereotypes of traditional seaside houses in terms of spatial organization, material application and detailed treatment, and builds a relaxed yet refined lifestyle with a design strategy that is durable, warm and easy to maintain.

内部空间采用开放式布局，起居、用餐及厨房区域与户外露台无缝连接，强调自然光线的最大引入与景观的全方位渗透。大量玻璃折叠门与通透的窗面不仅模糊了室内外界限，也增强了居住者与自然环境之间的互动。厨房中央的岛台选用天然石材台面与原木基座，兼具实用性与雕塑性，与定制吧台椅共同营造轻松交流氛围。楼梯设计采用金属与木材的结合，形式简洁，富有韵律感。

The interior space adopts an open layout, with the living, dining and kitchen areas seamlessly connected to the outdoor terrace, emphasizing the maximum introduction of natural light and the all-round infiltration of the landscape. A large number of glass folding doors and transparent window surfaces not only blur the boundaries between the interior and exterior but also enhance the interaction between the residents and the natural environment. The island counter in the center of the kitchen features a natural stone countertop and a wooden base, which is both practical and sculptural. Together with the custom bar stools, it creates a relaxed and communicative atmosphere. The staircase design combines metal and wood, featuring a simple form and a strong sense of rhythm.

材料方面，设计师精心挑选原始天然的木地板、陶土砖与石材，以应对潮湿海风所带来的挑战。室内外地面连续铺设的木质与砖材不仅强调空间的流动性，也传达出一种未经修饰的质感美学。诸如手工陶砖地面、开放式厨房置物架、壁柜嵌入等细节，体现出对日常生活使用性的深刻考量。

In terms of materials, the designer carefully selected raw and natural wooden floors, clay bricks and stones to cope with the challenges brought by the damp sea breeze. The continuous laying of wooden and brick materials on the indoor and outdoor floors not only emphasizes the fluidity of the space but also conveys an unadorned texture aesthetic. Details such as handcrafted terracotta brick floors, open kitchen shelves, and built-in wall cabinets reflect a profound consideration of the usability in daily life.

浴室空间通过开放式布局、玻璃隔断与同质材料的统一运用，建构出具有现代气质的私密环境。一体式洗手台、精选五金配件以及墙地一体化铺装策略，强化了视觉连贯性与清洁便利性。

The bathroom space is constructed with a modern and private environment through an open layout, glass partitions and the unified application of homogeneous materials. The integrated washbasin, carefully selected hardware accessories and the wall-floor integrated installation strategy enhance visual coherence and cleaning convenience.

露台则作为住宅的延伸空间，搭配烧烤区、餐桌椅及精选的绿植组景，在功能性与感官体验之间达成平衡。整座住宅在强调生活本质与自然对话的同时，呈现出一种经久耐看、质朴真实的当代海滨住宅风貌。

The terrace serves as an extension of the residence, complemented by a barbecue area, dining tables and chairs, and carefully selected green plants for landscaping, achieving a balance between functionality and sensory experience. The entire residence, while emphasizing the essence of life and the dialogue with nature, presents a contemporary seaside residential style that is timeless, simple and genuine.
