洛杉矶设计师凡妮莎·亚历山大（Vanessa Alexander）以其对“场所精神”的敏锐洞察，将一座上世纪七十年代的阿斯本（Aspen）山间度假屋重新诠释于当代语境之中。她擅长在自然与建筑之间建立细腻的对话，使空间既具力量感，又不失精神的宁静与平衡。本案由纽约事务所加贝里尼·谢帕德（Gabellini Sheppard）与当地的艾格尔伯格建筑设计事务所（Eigelberger Architecture and Design）协作完成。建筑团队在保留原有现代主义结构的前提下，重塑了空间的几何秩序，并以烧杉板（shou sugi ban）包覆外立面与部分内饰，使建筑的质感与山体肌理自然衔接。

Los Angeles-based designer Vanessa Alexander, with her acute insight into the spirit of place, reinterprets an Aspen mountain vacation home from the 1970s in a contemporary context. She is skilled at establishing a delicate dialogue between nature and architecture, making the space both powerful and maintaining a sense of spiritual tranquility and balance. This case was accomplished in collaboration between the New York firm Gabellini Sheppard and the local Eigelberger Architecture and Design firm. The architectural team, while retaining the original modernist structure, reshaped the geometric order of the space and covered the exterior facade and some interior parts with burnt cedar boards (shou sugi ban), allowing the texture of the building to naturally connect with the mountains texture.

亚历山大（Alexander）延续了她标志性的“加州式感性”——一种在光影、空气与日常生活的流动之间寻找平衡的设计哲学。客厅空间高挑而富于动势，中央悬挂的黄铜吊灯以克制的几何力量调和屋顶的非对称结构。艺术家劳伦斯·卡尔弗（Lawrence Calver）的染色麻布作品在背景处柔化了空间氛围，与皮埃尔·雅纳雷（Pierre Jeanneret）椅和定制胡桃木餐桌共同构成视觉焦点，脚下的图阿雷格（Tuareg）草席则为场域注入时间的温度与文化的延续。

Alexander continued her signature Californesque sensibility - a design philosophy that seeks a balance between light and shadow, air and the flow of daily life. The living room space is high and dynamic. The brass chandelier hanging in the center harmonizes the asymmetrical structure of the roof with its restrained geometric force. The dyed linen works of artist Lawrence Calver soften the spatial atmosphere in the background, and together with the Pierre Jeanneret chair and the custom walnut dining table, they form the visual focus. The Tuareg straw MATS beneath our feet infuse the venue with the warmth of time and the continuation of culture.

The living area continues this balanced logic. Pierre Yovanovitchs walnut chair is placed opposite the low custom-made sofa, creating an atmosphere that combines European elegance with mountain relaxation. The Japanese chair from the Meiji period and the coffee table designed by Sophie Gelinet and Cedric Gepner echo her sensitive choice of artistic furniture. Through the floor-to-ceiling Windows, the view of Aspen Mountain contrasts interestingly with the rattan wine cabinet created by the Caribbean Art Council (Comite de Proyectos) - where the power of nature and the delicacy of craftsmanship converge.

楼上休憩区延续七十年代的自由精神，陈设马里奥·贝里尼（Mario Bellini）于1972年设计的“Le Bambole”沙发与躺椅。主卧一隅则以定制黄铜壁炉为核心，搭配阿诺德·马德森（Arnold Madsen）羊皮椅与弗朗切斯科·巴尔扎诺（Francesco Balzano）绿大理石茶几，构成触感层次丰富的组合。亚历山大的设计让这座住宅在宏伟山景中既显坚实与力量，又流露出温度与人性，呈现一种当代而深植于自然的生活姿态。

The upstairs lounge area continues the free spirit of the 1970s, furnished with the Le Bambole sofa and lounge chairs designed by Mario Bellini in 1972. In a corner of the master bedroom, a custom brass fireplace is at the core, complemented by Arnold Madsens sheepskin chair and Francesco Balzanos green marble coffee table, forming a combination with rich tactile layers. Alexanders design makes this residence appear both solid and powerful against the backdrop of the magnificent mountain scenery, while also exuding warmth and humanity, presenting a contemporary and nature-rooted lifestyle.
