In the context of Oskar Firek Architects, true abundance never relies on ostentatious forms or excessive expressions, but emerges from the materials themselves. The texture of natural materials, the precise handling of construction joints, the continuous attention to the process of craftsmanship, as well as the slow and deliberate design rhythm, together constitute an introverted yet profound spatial temperament - "Silent Abundance". It is not a mere accumulation of sensations, but a density achieved through restraint and order; a form that becomes increasingly clear over time, simple yet eternal.
Since its establishment in 2012, Oskar Firek Architects has continuously explored the forms, contexts and individualities in private residences and commercial spaces. Rooted in the founders profound artistic background - long-term exposure to painting, sculpture and pottery, every project of the studio is based on natural materials, exquisite shapes and rational layouts, viewing the space as a precise balance between people and environment, functions and emotions. Whether it is a residence that responds to the personality of the residents or a commercial interior as an extension of the brand, the design is carried out in a highly customized manner, and through strict control of overall quality and execution details, ensures the consistency and purity of the space in terms of aesthetics and functionality.
YINJISPACE: Oskar Firek Architects has always emphasized the expression of materials and the control of proportions in their past projects. How do these elements continue and reflect the core design philosophy of your studio? In practical implementation, how did you incorporate this concept into the spaces?
Oskar Firek Architects: Each apartment clearly demonstrates our approach of constructing spaces through materials, contrast relationships, and individual objects. When you review our previous projects, you will notice a common design language present - it is not a repetitive style, but rather a continuous exploration of spatial order and perception. Additionally, we also place the design focus on functionality, customizing a large amount of storage space for each practical owner and developing various specific solutions for daily use. For us, apart from materials and proportions, the space must truly serve life, and this is particularly important in the projects.

The 420 m² house was designed for a young family. Its main southern exposure allows for plenty of natural light and offers a beautiful view of the historic skyline of Kraków. The ground floor contains the main daytime functions, including the living room, kitchen with pantry, dining area, and a recreation room. The upper floor features the sleeping area with a large master suite as well as additional children’s and guest rooms. The layout was carefully planned to provide comfort and an open space, which was a priority for the clients.
Natural materials such as clay plaster, wood, and stone were used as the foundation of the design, giving the interior its character and warmth. The space serves as a strong backdrop for artworks, including paintings by Adam Bakalarz and Grzegorz Worpus and sculptures by Paweł Jach, which integrate harmoniously with the interiors. The furniture and decorative elements complete and define the project’s character through their contrasting forms. It is also worth noting that the furniture for this project was made by a small local carpentry workshop.
The architectural form of the house in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains was designed by the Warsaw-based studio 81.WAW. The building consists of three above-ground modules and one underground level.
The main goal was to create a space open to its natural context. The tall, spacious interiors of the main module include the living room with kitchen and access to a terrace with a pool, forming a seamless connection to the garden. The remaining modules, linked by glass corridors, include the master bedroom, fitness area, children’s rooms, a study, and guest spaces. Extensive glazing brings daylight into the interior and visually connects the house with the forest.

Oskar Firek Architects
The design of Oskar Firek Architects is based on order and balance, while also opening up to nature. The clear and concise form language occasionally reveals elements of brutalism, giving the space a modern and timeless quality. Although the overall layout is open-plan, each functional element is carefully arranged to balance comfort, practicality and intimacy. It creates a home that is in harmony with the natural rhythm and is serene and pleasant for the family.
