In this 72-square-meter residence, minimalism is redefined as a profound philosophy of life, transcending mere aesthetic choices to become a spiritual practice against the noise and overconsumption of modern life. The design no longer pursues simple reduction of form, but rather achieves the "addition" of the soul through the "subtraction" of space. After stripping away the redundancy, every blank space becomes a mirror reflecting the inner self, guiding the residents back to the essence of life.

项目的核心挑战在于如何将有限物理尺度转化为无限的精神容器。设计师以“向内探索”为根本信条，将72平方米的空间视为一个能够呼吸的有机体。可开合的多功能房是这一理念的集中体现：两侧门扇的开合不仅实现了客房与开放区域的形态转换，更深层地隐喻了生活应有的呼吸节奏——打开时，它是光线与视野的通廊，引自然入室，也引心境向宽；闭合时，则成为宁谧与私密的襁褓。隐藏于柜体的床铺更是一则关于“显现与退隐”的哲学叙事，它让物质在不需要时彻底消隐，从而使空间恢复其纯粹的诗性。
The core challenge of the project lies in transforming a finite physical scale into an infinite spiritual vessel. The designer, guided by the fundamental principle of "inward exploration," views the 72-square-meter space as a breathing organism. The multi-functional room, capable of opening and closing, is a concentrated embodiment of this concept: the opening and closing of the doors on both sides not only achieves a transformation between the guest room and the open area, but also profoundly metaphorically represents the natural rhythm of life—when open, it is a corridor of light and vision, bringing nature into the room and broadening the mind; when closed, it becomes a tranquil and private haven. The bed, hidden within the cabinetry, is further a philosophical narrative about "manifestation and retreat," allowing matter to completely disappear when not needed, thus restoring the space to its pure poetic essence.
