空间的故事，从一块木材开始

美国•洛杉矶

现代主义办公室曾以等级与效率为核心，而此项目却融入了“欢乐功能”，在空间里展开一场跨越年代的材料对话。拱形天花所用的花旗松延续到定制的长凳与躺椅，形成从结构到家具的呼应。这种设计并非复刻，而是诚实建筑与当代需求的真诚交汇，在坚固与温润之间找到平衡，让灵活性与亲和力自然渗透在空间氛围之中。

While modernist offices were once centered around hierarchy and efficiency, this project incorporates "joyful functionality," creating a multi-generational material dialogue within the space. The Douglas fir used in the vaulted ceiling continues in the custom benches and lounge chairs, creating a seamless connection between structure and furniture. This design is not a replica, but a sincere intersection of honest architecture and contemporary needs, striking a balance between robustness and warmth, allowing flexibility and accessibility to naturally permeate the spatial atmosphere.

材料的组合进一步深化了这种叙事。花旗松的温润与不锈钢、铝的冷冽形成鲜明对比，石灰华的沉稳与胡桃木的厚实为空间奠定自然基调，而金属细节则捕捉光线，使环境更具通透感。家具的选择同样延续这一逻辑，既强调柔软与结构的张力，又在不同区域之间维系统一性。每一件元素都不以奢华为目的，而是回应空间本身的故事，使整个设计成为一种兼具理性与感性的生活美学表达。

The material palette further deepens this narrative. The warmth of Douglas fir contrasts with the coolness of stainless steel and aluminum. The calmness of travertine and the richness of walnut establish a natural tone for the space, while metal details capture light and enhance the sense of transparency. The furniture selection follows this same logic, emphasizing the tension between softness and structure while maintaining a sense of coherence across different areas. Each element responds to the story of the space rather than aiming for luxury, making the entire design a living aesthetic that combines both rationality and sensibility.
