How can design be used to enhance the experiential profitability of a space?

Essentially, it is about constructing a "commercial experience system" from the very beginning of the design plan that can automatically attract traffic, enhance conversion, and retain customers.

Brand premium originates from the experiential appeal created by commercial space design. It improves repeat visit experiences, extends dwell time, and gains deep recognition and word-of-mouth during the process—these three values ultimately translate into the brands premium capability.

接到了一个位于重庆核心区的旧医院改造项目。这次的项目是一个集学生公寓、学习交流与生活服务于一体的复合型青年社区。现状复杂：形象杂乱；由于当地地形问题，室内或者室外有平面一定的高差。

Received a project to renovate an old hospital located in the core area of Chongqing. This project is a mixed-use youth community integrating student apartments, study and communication spaces, and life services. The current situation is complex: the appearance is chaotic; due to the local terrain, there are certain level differences indoors or outdoors.

为了打破旧医院空间对外的固有印象，我们的这次的改造不是修补，而是彻底「能量转化」——将封闭的、功能性的医疗空间，重塑为一个向青年开放的、持续产生创意与连接的活力的场域空间。

以“春日生长力”为灵感原色，构筑一个自由、舒展、充满生命能量的青年乌托邦。让环境本身成为持续赋能的“能量场”，陪伴青年探索、创造与成长。

In order to break the conventional perception of old hospital spaces from the outside, this transformation is not merely a renovation, but a complete "energy transformation"—turning closed, functional medical spaces into a vibrant area open to young people, continuously generating creativity and connections.

Inspired by the primary colors of "spring vitality," we are building a free, open, and life-energy-filled youth utopia. Let the environment itself become a continuous empowering "energy field," accompanying young people in exploration, creation, and growth.

始于一个明确的创意信号

橱窗的设计,以其超尺度形态与明媚色彩成为绝对焦点，共同定义了空间年轻而富有活力的初始基调。

The design of the shop window, with its oversized forms and bright colours, becomes an absolute focal point, jointly defining a youthful and vibrant initial tone for the space.

螺旋是空间锚点，亦是场域。光沿其结构蔓延生长，最终在顶端弥散——这条向上的通路，是对永恒年轻精神的建造。

将自然中永恒的螺旋，转化为空间的灵魂印记。

The spiral is a spatial anchor, as well as a field. Light spreads and grows along its structure, eventually diffusing at the top—this upward path is a construction of the spirit of eternal youth.

It transforms the eternal spirals of nature into a soulful imprint in space.

——如同探索本身，是对向上的持续渴望。

Boundless Gathering Place

以螺旋楼梯为锚点，构建了一个如有机群落般自然生长的无界空间。模块家具如岛屿环绕，餐饮区与展陈区自由咬合，营造出知识、生活与灵感交融的生动场景。

Using the spiral staircase as an anchor, a boundless space was created that grows naturally like an organic colony. Modular furniture surrounds like islands, while the dining and exhibition areas interlock freely, creating a vibrant scene where knowledge, life, and inspiration merge.

一层空间将办公区域与开放的分享活动区融为一体，共同构筑品牌专业、开放而充满活力的形象。

设计以鲜明的色彩对比、流动的弧形语言与通透的视觉边界，实现空间的高度灵活与兼容。

The space on the first floor integrates the office area with the open sharing activity area, collectively creating a brand image that is professional, open, and full of vitality.

The design uses striking color contrasts, flowing curved forms, and transparent visual boundaries to achieve a highly flexible and adaptable space.

设计上延续一层理念，运用相同元素，实现与自然环境的融合，在提升舒适与和谐感的同时，也为空间注入艺术气息。改造后的二层平台同时激活了空间体验，也实现了可持续运营，兼顾了美感与商业价值。

The design continues a single concept, using the same elements to achieve integration with the natural environment. While enhancing comfort and a sense of harmony, it also injects an artistic atmosphere into the space. The renovated second-level platform not only revitalizes the spatial experience but also achieves sustainable operation, balancing aesthetics with commercial value.

Follow-up visit

后期回访

在后期的设计师回访中，得到客户回馈到发现，学生们自发地在这座绿色螺旋楼梯上阅读、学习与交谈，这标志着设计的核心成功：它已从一个强烈的视觉符号，转化为了一个真正塑造行为的“活性场域”。

意味着设计所构想的“春日生态”与“生长”理念，已切实转化为可观察的空间效能——它将交通面积转化为高价值的使用场景，将视觉地标催化为行为磁极。

In later follow-ups with the designers, client feedback revealed that students spontaneously read, study, and converse on this green spiral staircase. This marks the core success of the design: it has transformed from a strong visual symbol into a truly behavior-shaping "active field."

This means that the design concepts of "springtime ecology" and "growth" have been effectively translated into observable spatial effectiveness—it turns circulation areas into high-value usage scenarios and visual landmarks into behavioral magnets.
