Brighton Residence

带有花园的精致现代住宅

布莱顿住宅坐落于维多利亚风格的海滨郊区布莱顿，是一座精致的家庭居所，最大化地利用了居住空间与周边花园。为呼应业主需求，Hecker Guthrie 设计事务所将主人的审美品位与环球旅行印记融入这座考究的住宅之中。设计融合现代与历史元素，建筑师将住宅划分为两个区域：前部保留传统形制，后部则采用现代扩建形式。

Brighton House is located in the Victorian seaside suburb of Brighton. It is an exquisite family home that maximizes living space and the surrounding gardens. In response to the client’s brief, Hecker Guthrie wove the clients’ tastes and hints of world travel into the sophisticated family residence. Blending modern and historic, the architects divided Brighton House into two zones, retaining the traditional form at the front and a contemporary extension at the rear.

从这座精致住宅的典雅外立面望去，室内设计更添一份魅力与个性。建筑经过精心翻新，让原始肌理与现代元素彼此呼应。在现代扩建区域，大面积门窗将光线与空间引入花园；而经过细致考量的设计手法，让自然光并未淹没扩建部分，反而烘托着每一处设计细节。

Seen from the elegant frontage of the refined family home, the interior design adds a layer of charm and personality. The structure has been carefully renovated so that original elements complement modern ones. In the contemporary section, light and space are drawn into the garden via large windows and doors. Yet through its considered implementation, natural light does not overwhelm the extension, but rather enhances every design element.

布莱顿住宅从业主的旅行经历中汲取灵感，选用质朴材质、石灰石与木作细工打造。除了拓展空间的需求外，业主更希望与自然、天空建立深度联结。家中每一扇窗都能瞥见自然景致或头顶天光，无论晴雨，都让居住者与外界紧密相连。

Drawing inspiration from the clients’ travels, Brighton Residence features rustic materials, limestone, and timber joinery. Beyond wanting to expand the space, the clients desired a level of connection to nature and the sky. Every window in the home offers a glimpse of nature or sky above, connecting the occupants to the outside world regardless of the weather.

由 S-A Stairs 打造的美国橡木楼梯，坐落于老宅与新扩建区域之间，借双层挑高空间，如艺术品般在室内熠熠生辉。流畅的曲线造型，与 Hecker Guthrie 柔和精致的室内设计相得益彰，将住宅中原本容易被忽略的区域，变成最令人印象深刻的亮点之一。作为一座精致的家庭居所，布莱顿住宅为主人提供了一方休憩天地，让他们在所爱事物的环绕中获得内心安宁。

The American Oak staircase by S-A Stairs sits between the old and new extension, utilizing the double-height void to shine like a work of art within the home. With its fluid curves, the staircase complements Hecker Guthrie’s soft and sophisticated interior scheme, transforming what could have been a forgotten part of the home into one of its most memorable moments. As a refined family home, Brighton Residence provides the owners with a space to find respite while surrounded by everything they love.
