In a neighborhood of Hangzhou, a space designed primarily by Zhang Xiaojun transforms the logic of clothing cuts and layering into a tangible environment, showcasing the multifaceted essence of independent women.

BY COOKIE H.’s latest commercial space is not merely a store, but a scaled-up fashion piece. Led by Zhang Xiaojun, the Shuiding Group team drew on the logic of fashion design, translating the language of tailoring, layered materials, and meticulous detailing into a narrative of architecture and interior design.

Upon entering, the black, hand-forged doorknob is entwined with thorns yet gently wrapped in hemp rope, symbolizing the coexistence of independence and tenderness. The interior furnishings continue this tension: the coffee table, inspired by lotus leaves on West Lake, abstractly captures the natural grace of their form; while the rugged metal coat rack subtly highlights the delicacy of the garments. Every detail echoes the extension of the owner’s spirit.

The three-dimensional tailoring of the space is particularly striking. The designer uses an off-center, transparent glass door to both separate and merge the coffee area with the clothing display zone, resembling the lapel of an oversized coat. This allows the interplay of light and shadow from inside and outside, along with the street scene, to weave together into an urban tableau. Exposed concrete, aged wooden beams, and reclaimed wooden flooring create a layering of materials akin to layered clothing, juxtaposing coolness and warmth to form a striking emotional contrast.

The café area by the window functions as an urban theater. Guests can quietly observe the street scene while simultaneously becoming part of it, creating an interaction of “seeing and being seen.” This design not only extends the desire to linger but also instills a sense of community warmth, allowing the space to naturally evolve into a platform for interaction.

一件可穿戴的建築：BY COOKIE H.商業空間

在杭州街區，一處由張曉軍主創設計的空間，以服裝的剪裁與疊穿邏輯轉化為可感知的場域，呈現獨立女性的複合氣質。

BY COOKIE H.的最新商業空間，不止是一家店，更像被放大的服裝作品。水丁集團隊以服裝設計為方法，將剪裁、材質層疊與細節語言轉譯為建築與室內敘事。

推門而入，黑色手工鍛造門把纏繞荊棘，外覆麻繩，隱喻獨立與柔和的並存。室內家具延續這種張力：茶几取意西湖荷葉，抽象凝固自然的舒展；粗糙金屬掛衣杆低調襯托服裝的精緻，細節彼此呼應主理人精神。

空間的「立體剪裁」尤為鮮明。偏軸通透玻璃門劃分並連接咖啡區與陳列區，如外套門襟般讓光影與街景交織。清水混凝土、老木梁與舊木地板形成材質層次，冷與暖並置，拉開情緒對比。

臨窗咖啡區成為一個都市劇場，人們既觀察街景，也被觀看，形成互動。這種設計延長停留，也讓空間自然生成交流屬性。

在約100平方米的尺度中，設計以服裝邏輯建構場域，既表達冷靜與堅韌，也容納柔軟與溫度，成為一種可被感知的精神延伸。

Through the team’s creative lens, this 100-square-meter space is structured according to the logic of fashion, embodying both the composure and resilience of independent women and the warmth and compassion of community. It is a wearable architecture, an extension of the spirit.

Shuidingshi Design was founded in Hangzhou in 2014 by Mr. Zhang Xiaojun. As a full-service interior design firm, we specialize in contemporary and socially relevant themes. We embrace simplicity and the inherent qualities of materials, dedicated to creating comfortable and livable spatial atmospheres. Rooted in the unique tranquility and elegance of Jiangnan, we emphasize meticulous attention to detail and refined expression to convey distinctive design sensibilities. Guided by the philosophy Water has no fixed form; design knows no boundaries, we construct a spatial narrative system integrating Form, Meaning, and Ambience. Shuidingji emphasizes the authenticity of spatial experiences and values the unique quality imparted by artisanal craftsmanship. We firmly believe that exceptional design not only enhances client value and benefits but also responds to the present with creative sensitivity while anticipating the future.
