在波尔图圣多明戈斯广场，一扇不起眼的绿色木门背后，隐藏着 Hotel The Largo（拉戈酒店）。这家酒店坐落于由15、16及19世纪建筑交错而成的街区，由里斯本建筑师 Frederico Valssasina（弗雷德里科·瓦尔萨西纳） 负责修复，室内设计则由以“诗意现代主义”著称的 Space Copenhagen空哥本 打造。在保留历史建筑特色的同时，设计融入了当代风格的简洁与细腻，让古老与现代在空间中自然交汇。

In the São Domingos Square of Porto, behind an unremarkable green wooden door, lies Hotel The Largo. This hotel is located in a district formed by the interweaving of buildings from the 15th, 16th and 19th centuries. It was restored by the Lisbon architect Frederico Valssasina, and the interior design was created by Space Copenhagen. While preserving the characteristics of the historical buildings, the design incorporates the simplicity and delicacy of contemporary style, allowing the old and the new to naturally merge in the space.

Largo 并不按传统酒店的模式呈现，这里没有显眼的大堂或前台，取而代之的是柔和的会客区和由石墙环绕的庭院。蜿蜒的石质通道引导客人走向酒窖，北葡萄牙的葡萄酒成为体验的起点，也让整个停留节奏更慢、更轻松。酒店共有18间客房、餐厅和酒吧，每一次移动都是一次空间体验：沿着室外楼梯步入庭院时，泳池下方的钢铁雕塑、餐厅独特的壁画，以及光影装置等细节，总在不经意间映入眼帘。

Largo does not follow the traditional hotel model. There is no prominent lobby or front desk here. Instead, there are soft meeting areas and courtyards surrounded by stone walls. The winding stone passageways lead guests to the wine cellar. The wines from North Portugal become the starting point of the experience, making the entire stay slower and more relaxed. The hotel has 18 guest rooms, a restaurant and a bar. Every movement is a spatial experience: when stepping into the courtyard via the outdoor staircase, the steel sculptures beneath the pool, the unique murals in the restaurant, and the light and shadow installations, etc., always come into view unexpectedly.

修复和设计过程中，团队保留了各空间历史天花的差异，并邀请葡萄牙艺术家参与创作，让艺术成为承载历史与记忆的媒介。酒店空间没有多余装饰，历史的痕迹与设计的层次自然形成一种独特气质，安静而从容，却充满张力。

During the restoration and design process, the team maintained the differences in the historical ceilings of each space and invited Portuguese artists to participate in the creation, making art the medium for carrying history and memory. The hotel space has no superfluous decorations. The traces of history and the layers of design naturally form a unique atmosphere, which is quiet and composed yet full of tension.

In Largo, history is not just a backdrop but an integral part of the rhythm of daily life, making each stay feel like a small journey through time. This is not merely a hotel; it is a space that allows people to slow down and experience history and art. It is a place where modern life and past memories converge.
